Use the discriminant to find the number of real solutions of the equation 3x2 - 5x + 4 = 0. Show your work.

    3x^2 - 5x + 4 = 0

    a=3 b=-5 c=4

    D = b^2 - 4ac

    D = (-5) ^2 - 4 (3) (4)

    D = - 23

    therefore D < 0 which means no real roots.
