When using fraction strips. how do you know that two fractions are equalient? can you explain

    If you are using fraction strips, the strips will be of equal length. Then you know that the fractions are equivalent.

    For example, if you take one 1/2 strip and 2 1/4 strips they will be of equal length. Then you can tell that they are equivalent.
