    You can find the surface area of the rectangular prism, and the multiply that by 8.

    The surface area of a rectangular prism can be found using the equation

    A = 2 (wl+hl+wh)

    where

    w = width

    l=length

    and h = height

    When plugging in the correct values, you get a surface area of 518.

    518 * 8 = 4144

    You must now divide by 100 because it was 8 cents, not 8 dollars, so dividing by 100 will convert it to dollars.

    Erin spent $41.44 on contact paper
