    To have an infinite number of solutions, the lines have to be on top of each other ... basically, they have to be the same line.

    y = 3x - 1

    -3x + y = - 1 ... multiply by - 1

    3x - y = 1 < = = this would be ur other equation because if u put this in slope intercept form (y = mx + b), it would be the same as y = 3x - 1
