Bella saw that seven out of 11 people brought in umbrella to the beach. There were 99 people there. How many of them did NOT have a beach umbrella?

    If 9 out of 11 people had umbrellas that means 2 out of 11 didn't have umbrellas then you turn it into a fraction (2/11) then you get the denominator to the total people there are and the only way to do that is to multiply both bottom and top by 9 make it 18 people who didn't have umbrellas
