Y-1/3>1/8. why is it 11/24

    You have to find the common denominator of the fractions, which is 24. You then have to multiply each fraction so that each fraction's denominator is 24. You multiply 1/8 by 3 to give you 3/24, and multiply 1/3 by 8 to get 8/24. Then, add 8/24 on each side so that you get y by itself. You will get Y>11/24
