I'm not sure if this is what you're asking for but, it's not true.
*Note: There may be more than one method to show this but this is the one I came up with.
Here's the work:
1) 1/4 - 8 > 4
2) 1/4 - 32/4 > 4 [This makes it easier to subtract, now that they have a common denominator]
3) - 31/4 > 4
4) Not true; an obvious reason being that it's negative
