The value of y varies directly with x^2, and y = 64 when x = 4. what is the value of y when x = 6?

    y = kx²

    64 = k*4²

    64 = k*4*4

    64 = 16k

    64/16 = k

    4 = k

    k = 4

    y = kx²

    y = 4*6²

    y = 4*6*6

    y = 144
