The answer to your question is: 2 hours 20 minutes

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Data

    Hours played on Saturday = 3 1/2

Hours played on Sunday = 3/4 of those of Saturday

    Total time played = ?

    Process

Convert mixed fractions to improper fractions

    3 1/2 = (6 + 1) / 2 = 7/2

    Calcula 3/4 of 7/2

    7 / 2 x 3 / 4 = 21 / 8

Now, get the sum of the hours

    7 / 2 + 21 / 8 = (28 + 21) / 8 = 49 / 21 = 7 / 3 hours

    7/3 = 2 hours 20 minutes
