Let y be the no of bracelets and x no of hours.

Then equation for Rachael would be y = 3x ... i

Oliver is having initially 5 completed bracelets and every hour he would make 2 new bracelets

Hence equation would be

y = 2x+5 ... ii

Our question is why both will be equal

y would be equal in both if 3x=2x+5

Or x=5

After 5 hours form the start, both will have same number of bracelets.
