    A * b = 48

    a + b = - 14 ... a = - 14 - b

    b (-14 - b) = 48

    -b^2 - 14b = 48

    b^2 + 14b + 48 = 0

    (b + 6) (b + 8) = 0

    b + 6 = 0

    b = - 6

    b + 8 = 0

    b = - 8

    so ur 2 numbers are : - 6 and - 8
