An ocicat eats $/frac 35$ of a pound of food daily. how many ocicats can a $19/frac 12$-pound bag of food feed for one week?

    Rate per day = 3 / 5 pound per ocicat = 0.6 pound / (ocicat * day)

    Total food = 19 ½ pound = 39 / 2 pound

    Total days = 1 week = 7 days

    To find for the total number of ocicats we use the formula (on the basis of the units):

    Total number of ocicats = Total food / (Rate per day * Total days)

    Total number of ocicats = (39/2 pound) / [ (0.6 pound / (ocicat * day) (7 days) ]

    Total number of ocicats = 4.64

    Therefore this can feed about 4 ocicats only.
