The sum of the frequency column is the total number of weeks reported.

    1+4+7+3 = 15 weeks

The sum of the product of the number of t shirts and the number of weeks that many tee shirts were sold is the total number of t shirts sold

    2*1 + 4*4 + 6*7 + 8*3 = 2 + 16 + 42 + 24 = 84

The average number of T shirts sold per week is the weighted mean, which is the quotient of the total number of t shirts and the total number of weeks:

    84/15 = 5.6

    Answer: 5.6
