All you do is work backward to get the true value of y
y=2x-1
0=2x-1
then solve this should get you the answer x=1
so the two xvalues are - 6 and 1

Multiply 2 by - 6.
y=2x-1
y=2 (-6) - 1
y = - 12-1
y = - 13
