    Answer: B) 50%

    Work Shown:

    P = original price = 24

    Q = discount price = 12

    P-Q = amount saved = 24-12 = 12

    Divide this amount over the original

    (P-Q) / P = 12/24 = 0.50 = 50%

    So you save half (save $12) and pay the other half (pay $12)
