A youth ice hockey game has 3 periods that are each 20 minutes long. Colin plays 12 minutes each period. Which ratio shows Colin's playing time compared to the total number of minutes playing time possible

    He plays 12 minutes each period in a 3 period game. 3 times 12 is equal to 36 or the amount of time he played. There are 3 periods of 20 minutes and 3 times 20 is equal to 60 or the total number of possibly minutes. This makes your ratio 36/60 which can be simplified to 3/5
