    50 is the mean because you add all the diameters then divide by 8

    Order:

    42, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 54, 60

    Add:

    42 + 45 + 46 + 49 + 51 + 53 + 54 + 60 = 400

    Divide:

    400 / 8 (the number of numbers being used)

    Answer:

    50 = Mean
