Suppose you are given that a=5 and 4a + b=6. What can you prove by using these statements and the substitution property?

    4a + b = 6

    4 (5) + b = 6

    20 + b = 6

    b = 6 - 20

    b = - 14 < = = = u can prove that b = - 14
