    Equation: 1.16x (45.5*7+110*3) = 2500

    1.16x (648.5) = 2500

    752.26x=2500

    x=3.32 approx.

    This value must be rounded to 3 because the people can only purchase the items in groups (7 skis and 3 snowboards).

    3x7=21 skis

    3x3=9 snowboards

    answer: 21 skis and 9 snowboards
