Troy is making a flag shaped like a square. Each side measures 12 inches. He wants to add ribbon along the edges. He has 36 inches of ribbon. Does he have enough ribbons. Explain?

    No. If each side measures 12 inches, and you need ribbon for 4 sides, you would do 12 x 4, which would be 48 inches of ribbon needed.
