Mari makes bows for floral arrangements

She uses 1/8 yard of ribbon for each bow. How many bows can she make from 2 spools that each have 24 yards of ribbon

    First, we have to figure out how much ribbon we have by combining the spool amounts. 24+24=48. We have 48 yards of ribbon. We then divide 48 by 1/8 for each bow. Our division would be 48/1 divided by 1/8. We don't divide fractions, so we switch the digits of the second fraction and multiply. Our new problem is 48/1x8/1. The answer is 384. You can make 384 bows.
