Mike=3+0.5d where d=number of days

Reed=1.5+1.25d

where are they equal?

Mike=Reed

3+0.5d=1.5+1.25d

minus 0.5d from both sides

3=1.5+0.75d

minus 1.5 from both sides

1.5=0.75d

divide both sides by 0.75

2=d

answer is 2 days
