    1. 30 • 3/2x + 30 x 1/5x = 30 • 11/6x - 30 • 2/15

    (To simplify, multiply both sides by the least common denominator)

    2. 15 • 3x + 6x = 5 • 11x - 2 • 2

    (Multiply)

    3. 45x + 6x = 55x - 4

    (Collect Like Terms)

    4. 51x = 55x - 4

    (Move variable to the left side and change its sign)

    5. - 4x = - 4

    (Divide both sides of the equation by - 4)

    6. x = 1

    3/2x + 1/5x = 11/6x - 2/15 ... to get rid of fractions, multiply by common denominator, which is 30.

    45x + 6x = 55x - 4

    51x = 55x - 4

    51x - 55x = - 4

    -4x = - 4

    x = - 4/-4

    x = 1
