Payless has two standard sizes for their shoe boxes: one for smaller shoes like sneakers and sandals, and another for larger shoes like boots. The smaller shoe box is shown below, with its dimensions labeled. The smaller shoe box (shown) has a width of 15 inches, which is 30% of the width of the larger shoe box (not shown). 121625 cubic inches.

    Step-by-step explanation:

The first thing is that we must assume that the boxes are cubic, that is, they have all their sides equal.

The small box the side measures 15 inches, they tell us that 30% of the large box, therefore the measurement of the large box would be:

    15 * 100/30 = 50

50 inches measures the side of the large box.

Now to calculate the difference it would be:

    Small box volume:

    15 ^ 3 = 3375 cubic inches

    Large box volume:

    50 ^ 3 = 125000 cubic inches

    The difference would be:

    125000 - 3375 = 121625

So the difference is 121625 cubic inches.
