To calculate the volume of a prism you multiply the area of it's cross section by the length Therefore 5 x 3 = 15 (Area of the rectangle) 15x8 = 120 (Volume of prism)

    Solutions

Caden built a rectangular prism that has a length of 8 units a width of 3 units, and a height of 5 units. To calculate the volume of the prism you have to multiply the area of it's cross section by the length.

    5 x 3 = 15 (Area)

    15 x 8 = 120 (Volume of whole prism)
