    The answer is A.) - 0.2; $32

The reasoning behind the answer is because the sale is 20% off of the original price which could be written as Original-20%. 20% written in decimal form is 0.2. Since the original price is $40 you can rewrite the expression to be $40-0.2 (40). So the sale price is - 0.2 and the sticker price is 32 since 20% of 40 is 8 and 40-8=32
