Multiply both sides by 10 to clear the fractions.
2[10-5 (x-2) ]=x+1
distribute the 2 on the left hand side
20-10 (x-2) = x+1
distribute the 10
20-10x-20=x+1
cancel out the 20
-10x=x+1
collect like terms
-11x=1
divide both sides by - 11 to solve for x
x=-1/11
