    Hi there

    4000$ is invested at 3% interest so the interest of this account is

    4,000*0.03=120

    be invested at 5% interest

    the total interest from the two investments is $195

    120+0.05x=195

    Solve for x to get the amount invested at 5%

    120-120+0.05x=195-120 subtract each side by 120

    0.05x=195-120

    0.05x=75. Divide each side by 0.05

    0.05/0.05 X=75/0.05

    X=75/0.05

    X=1,500 be invested at 5%

    Good luck!
