    For any right triangle

    if the legs of the traingle are a and b and the hyptonuse is c then

    a²+b²=c²

    given

    a leg is 2

    hypotnuse is 4

    lets say a=2

    c=4

    2²+b²=4²

    4+b²=16

    minus 4 both sides

    b²=12

    sqrt both sides

    b=√12

    answer is √12 units
