Lets find an LCM for the denominators.

    We know that 4 cannot multiply into 6, and neither can 4 x 2, but we know that 4 x 3 = 12 and 6 x2 = 12.

So both denominators will become 12.

As for the numerators: Multiply the first by 3 and the second by 2. You now have the fractions 6/12 and 4/12. Which is greater? 6/12 because it is closer to 12/12, or 1 whole.

2/4 is bigger because this fraction reduced is 1/2. and 2/6 reduced is 1/3.

So, 2/4 is the biggest fraction.
