A water in a pond measured 25 7/8in on Monday. After 2 days of rain and runoff, the gauge read 32 1/2 in. By how much, did the level raise?

    Well to make it easier for you, you can turn the numbers into decimals soo ...

    25 7/8=25.875

    32 1/2 = 32.5

    then after you do ...

    32.5-25.875=6.625

    and if you what a fraction form here it is ...

    6 5/8

    so when the water was 25 7/8in In 2 days it rained 6 5/8in which got the water to 32 1/5.

    check:

    25 7/8 + 6 5/8=

    25+6=31

    7/8+5/8 = 12/8 simplify it to 1 4/8

    1 4/8 could also be 1 1/2

    so then 31 + 1 1/2 = 32 1/2
