I need a answer to this now!

The ratio of blue to red chips is 4 to 3. The number of blue chips are doubled and now there are 15 fewer red than blue chips. How many red chips are there?

    4x:3x - ratio of number of blue chips to. red chips

    8x:3x - number of blue chips is doubled

    8x-3x=15

    5x=15

    x=3

    So, there are 9 red chips
