The probability that Jason will order an appetizer in a restaurant (event A) is 0.6, and the probability that Jason will order soup in a restaurant (event B) is 0.3. The probability that Jason will order an appetizer, given that he orders the soup, is 0.3.

    Given, that, probability that Jason will order an appetizer in a restaurant (event A) is = 0.6

    Probability that Jason will order soup in a restaurant (event B) is = 0.3

    ⇒ Probability that Jason will order an appetizer, given that he orders the soup, is 0.3 = As Ordering of Soup and appetizer are independent events, so required Probability = P (A) * P (B)

    = 0.6 * 0.3

    = 0. 18
