Using the discriminant, what values of c will make the quadratic y = 2x2 - 3x + c have one real solution?

    The discriminant is b^2-4ac in the equation ac^2+bx+c

    so taking 2x^2-3x+c we have discrimant of

    (-3) ^2-4 (2) c which simplifies to 9-8c

    one real solution happens when the discrimnant is 0 so we have

    9-8c=0 so 9=8c and c=9/8

    so when c is 9/8 we will have 1 real solution
