The width of a rectangle is 13 inchs more than 5 times the length. if x represents the length, write an algebraic expression in terms of x that represents the perimeter of the rectangle. simplify the expression.

    perimeter is 2L+2W

    problem states width = 5L+13

    so plug that in for w:

    P=2L+2 (5L+13)

    now simplify

    P=2L+10L+26

    P=12L+26
