A nervous kicker usually makes 70% of his first field goal attempts. if he makes his first attempt, his success rate rises to 90%. what is the probability that he makes his first two kicks?

    The probability that the kicker will make his first two kick is simply the product of the probability of making his first attempt and the probability of making his second attempt given that the first attempt is successful.

    Therefore:

    P = 0.70 * 0.90

    P = 0.63

    Therefore he has about 63% chance to make his first two kicks.
