    Let

    x: price of the shirt

    x = 17

    y: price of socks

    y = 5.50

    n: number of players.

    Like the budget of $ 3300 then

    n (x + y) = 3300

    Substituting

    n ((17) + (5.50)) = 3300

    Clearing

    n = 3300 / ((17) + (5.50)) = 146.6666667

    answer

    You can buy socks and shirts for 146 players.
