    Width=w

    length=l

    w+2=l

    2 (w+l) = 88

    2 (w+w+2) = 88

    2 (2w+2) = 88

    4w+4=88

    4w=84

    w=21

    21+2=23

    The length of a rectangle if the perimeter is 88 inches and the length is 2 inches more than the width is 23.
