    Distributive property is taking the number in front of the parentheses and multiplying every term in the parentheses by the number.

    So in 4 (5 + 3),

    Multiply 5 and + 3 by 4.

    4 * 5

    20

    4 * 3

    12

    20+12

    32

    For the second equation do the same thing. Multiply 22 and - 6 by 2.

    22 * 2

    44

    -6 * 2

    -12

    44 + - 12

    32

    32 = 32
