What is the algebraic expression for the following word phrase The product of 2 more than y and 7

    Y times seven + 2 and the reasoning behind that is because mand seven means multiply then add the 2

    2 more than means plus 2

    so it seems to mean "multiply (2 plus y) and 7 so (2+y) (7) or 7 (2+y) is what it translates to
