Last summer, Mike received a tip from 35% of his babysitting customers. If he had 20 customers, how many customers gave Mike a tip?

    To solve you'll set up a proportion.

    35/100 = x/20

    cross multiply.

    100x = 700

    Now divide by 100.

    x = 7
