Explain how the quotient of powers was used to simplify this expression

    (2^5) / 8 = 2^2

    Now, 8 = 2^3. So we can sub

    (2^5) / (2^3) = 2^2

    Now, there's a rule that states that (a^m) / (a^n) = a^ (m-n)

    so (2^5) / (2^3) = 2^ (5-3) = 2^2
