In the pet show 3/8 of the pets are dogs. Of the dogs, 2/3 have long hair. What fraction of the pets are dogs with long hair?

    Since 3/8 are dogs and 2/3 had long hair, you can multiply 3/8 and 2/3 to find the answer. The answer therefore is (3/8) (2/3) = 6/24. You can then reduce to simplest form to make 1/4.
