How many ways can a president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer be chosen from a club with 8 members?

    Hello! The answer to your question would be as followed:

    There at 8 members in a club.

    If we choose one of them as the president, there would be 7 people left the be chosen as vice president.

    So for each of the 8 ways that we can choose the president. There will also be the 7 ways to choose the vice president

    Therefore, 8 * 7 = 56.

    Thus, we are left with 6 people to be chosen as treasurer

    So with the 8 ways of someone being chosen as president and the 7 ways as someone being chosen as vice president. We have 6 ways for someone to be chosen as the treasurer.

    Thus our math sentence would be 8 * 7 * 6 = 336

    Meaning there are 366 ways for someone to be chosen as president, vice president, and treasurer with only 8 members.
