Cammie is shopping at a department store and has $60 in her purse. She has a 10% off coupon that she is planning to use. However, the coupon states that her total purchase after the discount and tax must be greater than $20. Which inequality graph illustrates how much she can spend?

    Since she has $60 in her purse, that is the maximum amount she can spend. If we let x be the amount she spends, the 10% discount will give her 0.10x as discount. The inequality that best represent the scenario above would be,

    20 ≤ x - 0.10x

    or

    10 ≤ 0.90x
