Just add the two values together. (2x+5) + (x^2+3x-2) Combine like terms. x^2+3x+2x+5-2 which turns out to be x^2+5x+3 That is the answer.

    F (x) = 2x + 5

    g (x) = x² + 3x - 2

    f (x) + g (x) = (2x + 5) + (x² + 3x - 2)

    f (x) + g (x) = x² + (2x + 3x) + (5 - 2)

    f (x) + g (x) = x² + 5x + 3
