What is 3/8 multiplied by 6

    In multiplying fractions, you don't need a common denominator.

    3/8 * 6/1 = 18/8

    I multiplied the numerator by the other numerator and multiplied the denominator by the other denominator

    Now we have to simplify 18/8, the number 2 can go into both numbers

    9/4 is the final answer.
