    A drug is made from a compound A and a compound B:

    A : B = 3 : 4

    A = 3 k

    B = 4 k

    3 k + 4 k = 7 k

    7 k = 497 ml

    k = 497 ml : 7 = 71 ml

    B = 4 * 71 ml

    B = 284 ml.

    Answer: 284 ml of compound B are needed.
