    2 * |x - 3| - 4 < 10

The absolute value bars have to be isolated before setting up for solving.

    Add 4 to both sides.

    2 * |x - 3| < 14

    Divide both sides by 2

    |x - 3| < 7

Now set up the 2 cases. X will be in the center and we will work from the center, left and right.

    -7 < x - 3 < 7

Add 3 to the left, center, and right

    -4 < x < 10

I don't see this answer. Are you sure that is supposed to be a multiplication between the 2 and absolute value bar?
