What are the solutions of the equation (2x + 3) 2 + 8 (2x + 3) + 11 = 0? Use u substitution and the quadratic formula to solve

    Giving (2x+3) the variable of A

    Rewrite the equation as

    2A + 8A+11=0

    10A=-11

    A=-11/10

    Using A

    A=2x+3

    -11/10 = 2x+3

    -11=20x+30

    20x=30+11

    20x=41

    x = 41/20
